Avonsrus Guest House

Situated in the rustic, quiet surroundings of rural Augrabies, Avonsrus Guest House offers a comfortable self-catering break from city life. The property is ideally located 15 km from Augrabies Falls National Park and 3 km from the Orange River, with various outdoor activities in the vicinity. This highly recommended AA property offers ample space for a group of up to 8 people comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms; both large bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The main bedroom boasts a queen-size bed, plus a bunk bed, and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. In the living area, there are also 2 comfortable day beds and a TV with satellite channels. Avonsrus has a spacious, well-equipped kitchen with quality cutlery and stylish crockery, as well as a fridge, stove, oven and microwave. There is a lovely private patio and a BBQ/braai area, where one can unwind under the breathtaking starry skies of the Northern Cape and enjoy the peace and quiet that only the countryside can offer. Children can play outside on the jungle gym or engage in ball games on the spacious lawn. Not included in the overnight price, but optional on request, Avonsrus offers a delicious farmhouse breakfast and traditional South African cuisine for dinner. Breakfast baskets and BBQ/braai packs are also available on prior arrangements. These can be prepared in the comfort of your own Avonsrus kitchen, or having a braai on the private patio. Home-made rusks and seasonal produce from our community (raisins, grapes, oranges, etc.) are also for sale at Avonsrus.

Avonsrus Guest House is only 15 km from the Augrabies Falls National Park and 3 km from the Orange River, with various outdoor activities in the nearby vicinity (i.e. river rafting, sundowners, mountain biking, fishing, game drives). The small town has a few shops, a police station, a supermarket, but guests can also visit the town of Kakamas to get other essentials.
