Elephant Walk Tented Camp
OVERVIEW
Elephant Walk Retreat is situated on the banks of the Crocodile River, just a stones throw from the southernmost entrance of Kruger National Park, Crocodile Bridge Gate. The Elephant Walk's land is a family heritage dating back to the early 1970's. The unrivalled views across Kruger and the Crocodile River are magnificent. Living up to its name, guests of Elephant Walk will see huge herds of elephants from the lodge as they follow the ancient elephant paths along the Crocodile River course. Each deluxe tented stand is furnished with a king-size bed, a fold-out sofa bed, and an en-suite bathroom with bathrobes. Each unit boasts a sitting area, a desk, and a patio/terrace with bush or river views. Dinner, bed and brunch are included, early morning refreshments and afternoon tea and snacks as well as either one or two safari game drives daily. A large sparkling swimming pool and communal relaxation area are the ideal settings to while away the warm, sunny Lowveld days reading a book or sipping on a refreshing beverage. Free Wi-Fi is available in the public areas of the lodge. There is an array of activities in the area, including open vehicle safaris into Kruger National Park, guided bush walks, bush dinners, fishing, and tours to Eswatini and Maputo.
AREA INFORMATION
Immerse yourself in the untamed charm of the Wild Frontier with an overnight stay at one of the many excellent accommodations in Komatipoort. Known for having one of the countrys most ideal winter climates, Komatipoort is located where the Komati and Crocodile rivers meet, nestled on the western slopes of the Lebombo Mountains, which form a natural border between South Africa and Mozambique. Though often considered just a stopover, Komatipoort is much more. Situated only three kilometres from the Lebombo border post into Mozambique, this quaint town offers much more than a brief rest. Its just 8 kilometres from the Crocodile Bridge gate to Kruger National Park, 5 kilometres from the Mozambique border, and only 65 kilometres from the Swazi border, making it an ideal base for easy day trips. While Komatipoort may be known for its railway and customs centre, and its farmers produce some of the countrys finest subtropical fruits, the town also offers an array of activities. Enjoy local wildlife, golf, tiger fishing on the Komati River, and even elephant-back safarismaking Komatipoort a truly rewarding destination.
