OVERVIEW

Tomo Safari Lodge lies inside the Balule Private Nature Reserve in the Greater Kruger region, allowing guests the privilege of witnessing beautiful South African wildlife roaming and migrating freely, as nature intended. The lodge provides an ideal backdrop for a romantic African safari experience and offers guests a choice of beautiful chalets that have been designed and decorated in the style of a traditional South African farm lodge. Opening out onto a beautiful central garden, the thatched-roof chalets feature comfortably furnished twin beds that can convert to king-size beds, and extra-length king-size beds, and have en-suite bathrooms with showers and baths, and outdoor showers for some chalets. The air-conditioned chalets have free Wi-Fi, a coffee machine with complimentary coffee and water bottles, and access to a patio. The chalets are cleaned daily, with a nightly turn-down service, and wake-up calls can be arranged. A laundry service is available on-site at an additional cost. The Curio Shop is open daily with traditional artefacts, bush gadgets, safari gear, and branded articles, and all of the artwork in the chalets and around the lodge is also available for sale. Between the game drives, guests can enjoy a relaxing drink or meal on the deck, which overlooks the waterhole, cool off in the swimming pool, or book a personalised spa service. AREA INFORMATION

Tomo in the Balule Nature Reserve shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park and is therefore known as the Greater Kruger National Park. The closest town to Tomo Safari Lodge is Hoedspruit, a town in the Limpopo province of South Africa. Due to the town's proximity to private game reserves within Kruger National Park, ecotourism is a major contributor to the local economy.
