Patcham Place, Clarens

Heaven in Clarens: My husband and I stayed over at Patcham Place for one night and then went to another guest house that our family had booked for the following two nights. What a disappointment (the other place, that is) We will absolutely recommend Patcham to anyone! Johan and Tom are amazing. Staff are friendly, the place is very clean and all the special touches make it really special. Breakfast is fantastic. Book at Patcham - you will not be disappointed. Nothing negative to say.....

Very homely with fantastic hosts. Nicely set back, away from the main center, but still close enough to walk to all the activities.

These guys have gone above and beyond to give a 5-star experience in the quaint town of Clarens. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with welcoming smiles calling you by name. The rooms smell great and these guys have paid extra attention to interior design details that are rivalled by only some of the top global hotels. If you are looking for a luxurious, welcoming, tranquil and mesmerizing stay in Clarens, this is for you. These guys paid attention to all the small details.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay, from the friendly welcome from Karel and Harley (the resident dog) to the amazing views from the room, every day was truly enjoyable. The room is clean and well equipped. Crisp clean linen with electric blankets and underfloor heating for those cold winter nights. The complimentary sherry, chocolates, tea, coffee, fresh milk make the stay feel a little like home away from home. There are various breakfast options which Karel freshly prepares every morning. (Muffins are top class) The B&B is well located within a short walking distance from all shops and restaurants though far enough from the centre of town to avoid one feeling as you are stuck within the buzz of this small town. Karel is an excellent host and always willing to provide his knowledge and advice of the area to make ones stay truly enjoyable and is also open to hearing recommendations from others. Many thanks for the birthday surprise Karel. We will be back.

The breakfast was so delicious, the sherry in the room was a great touch. Rooms are clean and beautiful with underfloor heating & heated blankets. Location is just outside of the square but 2 min walking distance. See you soon!

From first contact, our host was warm and welcoming. Every guest comfort had been provided for, with little luxuries built in such as filter coffee and Lindt chocolates in the rooms. The rooms were very clean and extremely comfortable with magnificent views. Breakfast was fresh and to order. We had the most wonderful stay and cant wait to be back!

The stay at Patcham Place was a 5 star experience. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Room 5 was ideal for us as pensioners. The view from the room into the garden was exquisite. The room was well equiped and very comfortable. I was suprised to see that Karel was very involved with the preparation of the breakfast , and what a great breakfast. Well done to Karel and his staff, you will definitely see us again

Clean, quiet and attractive guest house very close to Market Square and shops. Tasty and plentiful breakfast cooked to order by our host. Bird viewing in the back garden with stunning mountain in the background. Perfect setting for a quiet afternoon. Hiking trails nearby.

This B&B goes the extra mile. Small details such as fresh milk daily in you room makes the difference. The breakfast is lovely with personal attention by Karel. White bed linen compliments the spacious room and complimentary bathroom condiments ( black make up face cloth, cotton buds etc. ) are appreciated. Harley the family dog welcomes you with his wagging tail. Will visit again.
