Our venue with the Sundowner Deck, is unique in the sense that it offers guests views of our town and the picturesque mountains in the late afternoon; an unique way to enjoy Swellendam’s sunsets with a glass of wine and dinner. Meals are presented in the form of a platter-for-two. Choices are between a meaty platter or cold meats and cheese platter. A vegetarian platter is also available on request. Platters are at R350,00 pp and must be confirmed 24h00 before arrival.
Guests can enjoy the sunset on the deck at the Boma braai /BBQ. This option is only available if weather allow and must be confirmed with Host. Guest can also do a BBQ at the Boma. Confirm with Host.
At night, guests can also relax and admire the stars with an unobstructed view. There are free parking on-site, secured by an automated gate.

Nature lovers will enjoy the plentiful nature reserves around Swellendam, including the Marloth Nature Reserve, Sambona Wildlife Reserve, Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve, and Bontebok National Park. Wildlife in Swellendam includes the endangered Bontebok and Cape Mountain Zebra as well as bushbuck, klipspringer, baboon, mongoose, and the occasional Leopard. Birding enthusiasts will marvel at over 200 species of birds, including waterfowl, eagles, Narina Trogon, Paradise Flycatcher, and the Knysna Woodpecker.
