The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve (60 000 hectares) neighbouring the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, it is known for good Big 5 game viewing, especially for the unique white lions. As a part of the greater Kruger National Park, the Klaserie has no fences into the Kruger and can offer guests the Kruger experience in open game viewers at flexible times.

Game Drives are in open Land Rovers and are included in our rates. At lodges in the private reserves, your guides are passionate about wildlife and are in contact with the other vehicles on game drives, greatly increasing your chances of finding the wildlife that you want to see. Vehicles in the private game reserves may also leave the road to follow animals into the bush and provide opportunities to witness behaviour and interactions you might not see otherwise. Night drives in the private game reserves are also exceptionally good opportunities to spot game not usually seen during the day. Some of the game viewed are herds of buffalo, elephant, giraffe, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, warthog, porcupine and much, much more. Lion, white lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and hyena complete the picture. Birding is quite spectacular, especially during spring and summer when the migrants breed. WALKING SAFARIS Walking safaris are not included in our rates, they are subject to availability and have to be booked in advance. Guests on a walking activity must be able to walk in the wilderness for periods of about 3 hours. It is the sole responsibility of guests to advise Baobab Ridge of any health issues such as epilepsy, allergic reactions, asthma and so forth. The age limit is 16 years of age.
