Marloth Park, Mpumalanga, South Africa
Marloth Park is a wildlife-centered town where wild animals roam freely between homes. It is one of the most unique experiences that bring animals right to your doorstep. Although the location is remote, it borders the world-renowned Kruger National Park and viewing of animals in the park is a short 2-minute walk away.
The bushveld roads of Marloth Park require a vehicle with some ground clearance. No low-slung sports cars but 4x4's not a must. Shops and restaurants in Marloth are a short drive away. The closest larger town is about a 20 minute drive and the same for access to the Kruger National Park. Most of the time you would be strolling for hours against the fence of the Kruger National Park at the bank of the Crocodile River in amazement at the abundance of wildlife. No walking between dusk and dawn as those times are reserved for the toothy ones that at times roam the park.
