The farm, situated five kilometers from Barkly West and 39 kilometers from Kimberley, is the perfect location to relax and de-stress. Kenne and Joy, owners of both Holsdam and Die Olyfhuis, are ready to welcome you to their bit of paradise! There are 7 rooms. Each room is a luxury en suite bathroom. It has it's own sliding door that opens up on the patio. Five rooms have there own small kitchenette that can be use for self-catering. There are also 2 rooms that share a kitchen area.

There is a 30 km mountain-bike route for the more active, as well as an established walking trail. 2 dams where keen birdwatchers will find a paradise with 65 plus different bird species. The first Anglican Church, built in 1871 on the site of the old diggers camp. The first bridge built over the Vaal River. The first alluvial diamond diggings which is now a national monument. Barkly Bridge with it's toll-house. Canteen koppie, an archaeological site that was proclaimed a national monument in 1948. The mining museum with it's rocks, artifacts,, fossils and geological specimens. There are a few game farms surrounding Barkly West. Good Hope and Mattanu are both open for day visits, just keep in mind that bookings are essential.
