We have 4 self-catering units separate from the main guesthouse, a 6-sleeper, two 4-sleepers and the loft unit which sleeps 5. All come with lounge/dining/kitchenette areas.
4 further rooms also have their own kitchenettes to cater for a self-catering preference.
Our final room is semi self-catered with small fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery & cutlery.
Hilton & the surrounding countryside has always attracted residents who embrace an active & healthy lifestyle, enjoying the mountainbiking & running trails, walking, canoeing & fishing.
The village is charming & we have restaurants & village shops within 1km of us & the N3 highway is easily accessed. Hilton & St Anne's Colleges, Grace & Etham Colleges, Cowan House & Laddsworth schools are all on our doorstep as is the Hilton Life Hospital with its state of the art oncology dept.
The gorgeous countryside of the Midlands Meander encourages a variety of arts & crafts, wholesome cuisine & fresh produce markets. The Drakensberg mountains & the KZN beaches are both an hour and a half's drive from us.
Convenient for business in Pietermaritzburg but offering a peaceful getaway at the end of the day! A great halfway break if touring in the province.
The area is a treat for historians: the Victorian architecture of Pietermaritzburg, the French presence & the Anglo-Boer war history around Howick.
If botany is your thing, please visit our fabulous Botanical Gardens or make an appointment to spend a day wandering on the Benvie Estate. The Tatham Art Gallery in Pmb's city centre, is one of the oldest galleries in South Africa. Take a picnic and have a wander in the Umgeni nature reserve or book a picnic with "The Crows Nest" & enjoy the scenic Rietspruit conservancy.We have birding areas & conservancies, game parks & fishing(trout & bass) all on our doorstep.
The Karkloof Canopy Tours are 10 minutes' away for the more adventurous & the area is a mountain bikers' paradise. Go-karting, bowling alley and a miniature train ride for the children are all local activities alongwith a driving range 5kms straight up the road.
