Kosi Bay Mouth is a unique breeding ground for marine life and one of the best places in the country for snorkelling. Its relatively shallow waters make it incredibly easy to see coral and colourful fish. The Kosi Bay Mouth snorkelling area is known as the aquarium and is famous for its rich diversity of both tropical and subtropical species of fish.
The Kosi Bay Nature Reserve forms part of Isimangaliso Wetland Park and offers bird lovers a paradise. From November to March, Loggerhead and Leatherback turtles visit the nearby beaches for the annual nesting season.
