Morokolo Safari Lodges offers self-catering accommodation in either a 4 Suite Lodge for a party of 8 or in the private and Exclusive Executive Suite, which can sleep 2 adults. The 4 Suite Lodge has 4 luxury suites with spacious en-suite bathrooms boasting modern finishes including a private courtyard. All suites have an outside shower under the African sky as well as an inside shower and bath. One of the suites is a family suite with an open upstairs mezzanine loft offering two additional single beds. Maximum number of guests we can accommodate at the 4 Suite Lodge is 8 adults and 2 children under 12. The Executive Suite has its own lounge area with a sleeper couch and flat-screen TV with its own fully equipped kitchen. Separate bedroom with large en-suite bathroom boasting a large bath, double inside shower, and an outside shower. This Suite can sleep a maximum of 2 adults and possibly a small child on special request only. The safari vehicle restriction is a maximum of 10 guests allowed per vehicle. For their own safety, the rules governing game drives do not permit children under 6 on the game drives. Children between 6 and 12 are permitted at the game ranger's discretion.
The Black Rhino Reserve forms part of the Greater Pilanesberg National Park measuring 57 000 hectares. Situated in the North-Western corner of the Pilanesberg National Park, only 40 minutes from Sun City and the Palace of the Lost City, the Black Rhino Reserve is just under 2 500 hectares in size and represents the first portion of private land incorporated into the Pilanesberg National Park.
Safaris are a major attraction, and 1 game drive per night booked is included in the rate (max 10 guests on vehicle). For their own safety, the rules governing game drives do not permit children under 6 on the game drives. Children between 6 and 12 are permitted at the game ranger's discretion. For group bookings fewer than 10 guests, game drives may be shared with other guests staying at the lodge. Buffalo regularly roam in this area as they take shelter in remote areas not accessible to other visitors to Pilanesberg National Park. Characterized by a beautiful forest of Tamboti trees and regular sightings of the bad-tempered Black Rhino, the Black Rhino Reserve is home to the BIG 5 (Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant, White & Black Rhino) as well as Cheetah. Antelope species include Sable, Tsetsebe, Eland, Kudu and Springbok. Nearby are activities such as golf, hot air balloon rides, water park, and casinos.
