The Cottage offers comfortable accommodation for 2 guests, also including barbeque facilities, fully equipped for self-catering.
Situated on the R355 between Kliprand and Springbok, Platbakkies is a farm in the heart of the Namaqualand of South Africa. On the edge of Bushmanland, it contains the best of both worlds in that it showcases both the seemingly never-ending plains and the grassy vegetation of Bushmanland and the mountainous scenery and shrubbery of the Kamiesberge.
Join the farmer for a day of farming, do some walking or biking, go on a game drive, look for a new bird specimen, play a board game, read a book, and at night we deliver a traditional plate of “Boerekos” if you wish.
