Guests staying at Thanda Tau can take a leisurely drive to some of the oldest towns in the Free State including Vrede (+-35 minutes drive); Warden (+-25 minutes drive); and Frankfort (+- 45 minutes drive). Activities in these areas include the Namahadi Arts and Crafts Centre in Frankfort, and one of the largest Dutch Reformed Churches in the country in Warden. A must recommend, is a day spent in the historic boere-town, Verkykerskop, approximately an hours drive from Thanda Tau.
